Description
This is a grand and traditional “Haram,” or long necklace, crafted with a “forming” gold finish that gives it a rich, matte, and antique texture. The design is a classic “Kasumala” or coin necklace, which is a beloved motif in South Indian jewelry.
The haram is a long, single-strand necklace. The chain is composed of a series of small, round, coin-like discs. Each disc has a raised, textured pattern, possibly a floral or an abstract geometric design. The coins are arranged in a continuous chain, linked together by small, gold-toned chains.
The central pendant is a larger, more elaborate piece with a prominent carving of the Hindu goddess Lakshmi, surrounded by a halo of brilliant white stones and a fringe of delicate pearls. The top of the pendant features a beautiful peacock motif, which is also a traditional symbol of grace and beauty.
The entire piece has a consistent, heavy feel, suggesting high-quality craftsmanship. The design is grand yet versatile, making it a perfect piece for a range of occasions, from weddings and festivals to other traditional ceremonies.
